I believe every senior leader benefits from spending time with a good coach. Coaching delivers an incredibly valuable opportunity to prepare for the rest of your career - to take stock of what got you here and to work out how that can evolve - to take you where you want to go. So in my book, coaching at intervals throughout your career is just as important as any other professional development you may seek out.

That said, there are also specific moments that trigger a call for a coach: role change or other major transition, specific challenging situation, sense of overwhelm and more. And some clients come to gear up for challenge, to easily overcome obstacles as well as to empower themselves and propel towards further growth.

Themes that often arise include:

Leadership.

Be the leader in the room: confidence and gravitas. Find your voice and be heard: clear communication and positive influence. Handle your inner saboteur: give your de-railers some time-off. Gain balance across vision, strategy and execution all begins with an idea.

Career.

Understand your purpose and harness its power. Find your sponsors and grow your network effectively and meaningfully for all. Define your personal brand and let it guide you. Successful transitions, first 100 days optimised.

Relationships.

Create flourishing stakeholder relationships. Manage upwards effectively. Engage, empower and motivate teams and stakeholders. Tackle conflict smoothly. Find balance: work, home and you

Coaching approach.

Each coaching series is bespoke, forward-facing, helpfully challenging and supportive.

I encourage my clients to try out behaviours in between sessions and own their coaching journey.

The typical coaching assignment lasts six months and includes monthly meetings with unlimited contact in-between. Often clients choose to continue the coaching work with quarterly catch-ups or further bursts during particularly challenging times or periods of change.

During each coaching series, we will set coaching goals, explore and agree ways to track progress whilst retaining flexibility throughout.

And let us begin …
